Chapter 1

Blessed is the man who walks
not in the counsel of the wicked;

nor stands in the way of sinners;
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

but his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and on his law he meditates day and night.

Psalms 1:1,2

There are at least 7 Hebrew and 2 Greek words for the word MEDITATION.

I. Hebrew 1897. hagah, haw-Gaw'; to murmur (in pleasure or anger);
to ponder:-imagine, meditate, mourn, mutter, roar, X sore, speak, study, talk, utter.

II. Hebrew 1901. hagiyg, haw-gheeg'; akin to Hebrew 1897; murmur, complaint:-meditation, musing.

III. Hebrew 7878. siyach, see'-akh; to ponder, converse (with oneself, and hence aloud),

babbling, communication, complaint, meditation, prayer, talk.
